日本語１のスキット (Japanese 1 Skit Presentation)

１１月２９日（火）に、日本語１のクラスでスキットをしました。
これは、日本語１の学生の作品です。見て下さい！

秋学期が始まりました！ (The fall semester has just begun!)

夏休みがもう終わってしまったなんて信じられませんが、今日から新学期が始まりました。
みなさん、夏休みはどうでしたか。
I can't believe the summer vacation was over already..., but, anyway, welcome back to school, everyone!
I hope everyone had a nice and relaxing summer.

私は夏休みは北海道に帰りました。今日は私のホームタウン、旭川で撮った写真を紹介します。
I"m from Hokkaido, and I spent my summer vacation there. I took these pictures in my hometown, Asahikawa.

「田んぼアート」です！
"Rice Field Art"

違うタイプの稲を使って、この巨大な絵を描くそうです。
They use different kinds of rice plants to draw this huge picture.

「ＪＡたいせつ」という農業協同組合が、２００６年から始めたようです。２００６年～２０１０年の田んぼアートの写真は、「ＪＡたいせつ」のウェブサイトにあります。
Japanese Aguricultural Cooperatives Taisetsu has begun this rice field art project since 2006. If you would like to see the art product of previous years, please visit their website.

I have taken more pictures during my stay in Hokkaido, so I'll upload them later.

FIGHT ON JAPAN!!

４月１４日（火）に、JSA主催のチャリティーイベントに行ってきました。
We went to "Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Fundraiser Event" presented by JSA on Tuesday, April 14th.

私はショットグラスとドッグタグを購入。リストバンドは無料で配られていました。
I bought a shot glass and a dog tag. They were giving out wristbands for free. 

日本語プログラムの先生たちは、毎日リストバンドをつけて授業に行っています。
We wear a wristband everyday, praying for Japan.

日本語のクラスは、どこでありますか。(Where do we have a Japanese class?)

今日は、日本語のクラスの教室について、紹介します。
Today, I intoruce you the buildings where we have a Japanese class at USC.

日本語のクラスは、THHかVKCかWPHであります。
A Japanese class is held at THH, VKC, or WPH.

THH (Mark Taper Hall of Humanities)

THHには、日本語プログラムのオフィスもあります。
Our office is also located at THH.

VKC (Von KleinSmid Center)

WPH (Waite Phillips Hall)

VKC (left) & WPH (right)

VKCとWPHは目立ちますから、キャンパスの外からでも見つけることができます。
You can easily spot VKC and WPH even from the off-campus.

THHとVKCとWPHで、皆さんと会えるのを楽しみにしています！
We look forward to meeting/seeing you at one of these buildings!
